Harbour Home

Harbour Home provides a safe and supportive environment for people with complex and enduring mental health needs including learning disabilities and autism who need 24/7 support.

Harbour care home, registered with the Care Quality Commission, provides quality accommodation and a high standard of person-centred care, rehabilitation and recovery-based activities with one-to-one and shared support.

Our service is for men with a history of complex and enduring mental health needs including learning disabilities and autism who need 24/7 support.

We are committed to helping our service users develop the life skills needed to think and act independently, thus taking increased responsibility for their own lives and maximising their potential to move on to more independent living.

This is an intensive model of support with a minimum of four staff on duty throughout the day and evening, with one waking night staff and a ‘Manager on call’ arrangement for out of hours support.

The house is divided into ten spacious ensuite rooms and two self-contained flats, with comfortable shared spaces such as a large kitchen-diner, a TV Lounge and a garden.

There is also an office for staff to carry out record keeping and admin paperwork.

A mature garden includes a patio and a dedicated laundry.

Situated on The Broadway, Harbour Home is only a few minutes walk from Herne Bay's  beaches and piers, yet also within easy reach of the town centre. Nearby bus stops, the railway station and good road links also make it an easy 'commute' for staff.
